Description
On May 10, 2019, BCBSVT proposed an average annual increase of 15.6% over 2019 premiums offered on Vermont Health Connect. Proposed increases per plan ranged from 9.1% to 18.5%. Following a review by Lewis & Ellis, the Green Mountain Care Board’s contract actuaries, BCBSVT reduced its requested increase from 15.6% to between 14.3% and 14.5%. On August 8, 2019, the Board modified and approved an average annual increase of 12.4%, with plan-level increases ranging from 6.0% to 15.5%.
